Organising my footage in this way meant that I could keep track of which clips were being used in my film, clips which were alright footage but did not end up making the final cut and clips that were either multiple takes or no use put in so as to not accidentally use them. This initial sorting of my footage had a great impact on my final production as I made sure to gather a lot of footage to avoid any mistakes and re-takes where possible, meaning sorting was an important step in reviewing and using my footage ready for editing.
