Evidence of Editing (Use of Genre Conventions)

This scene in the image is a good example of my use of the conventions the thriller genre tends to use. Using the change in speed and zoom effect to create emphasis on this symbol in the shot helps to foreshadow the significance this arrangement of sticks creates for the whole film, nodding towards the antagonist being behind it to the audience, but the character within the film not knowing, a common trope in a thriller film. This is a big trope to hit in my production as it shows my understanding of the genre I am trying to achieve for my film and I believe I do well to achieve the final outcome of my production by showing a clear understanding of the thriller genre.
